Wheelchair Accessible Rides & Special Needs Transportation

Post accessible trips and match independent drivers equipped for wheelchair and special-needs transport—on a professional marketplace.

What is accessible transportation on Safe Ride Network?

Accessible and special-needs transportation serves passengers who require wheelchair-accessible vehicles, mobility device securement, or additional assistance. Safe Ride Network lets organizations post accessible trips and match with independent contractor drivers who meet Specialty role requirements—including full commercial auto liability (a personal rideshare endorsement alone is not accepted for specialty accessible trips). ADA-oriented program needs should be specified in trip requirements. Drivers and vehicle owners remain responsible for equipment standards and training. This page describes marketplace capabilities; it is not legal advice on ADA compliance for any single provider.

Educational note. Insurance and program rules vary by state, insurer, and organization. Safe Ride Network does not sell insurance. Confirm coverage with a licensed agent and your policy documents before operating specialty trips.
